I’m a food, travel, drink, dance, and all around entertainment lover who currently lives in Chicago, IL. Before my big move to the heat challenged city that is Chi-town, I lived with my life love, Derek, in Sicily for 3 years. I love food and travel innately, but that was only exacerbated by the incredible food and sites we were fortunate enough to experience those three years across the Atlantic. I yearn for those experiences here as I teach yoga and spend quality time with Derek and friends by trying out a different Chicago restaurant each week. Derek studies film, which we both have a love for, along with what we consider to be quality TV and music that excites us that week. Someone once told me they liked how I seemed to “eat life” and really enjoy myself. I loved that and I want to continue to embody that. Writing is a joy and essentially I’d like to have a week in review of my experiences with food, entertainment, perhaps some yoga, but just overall life here in a big city and hopefully impending travels in the future as I miss it immensely.
This really spoke to me! You say it’s a chapter of a larger piece – can I read more somewhere?
I’m so glad to hear this resonated, thank you. I’ve shared two other chapters through this page. The first is called Living with a Guilty Conscience. The second is Living with a Sexual Appetite. They’re all in the archive articles from June. I’m working toward finishing a book, it is gradually evolving as I am.
